At Birchwood, we offer individual studio and one-bedroom apartment homes ranging in size from 390-631 square feet. Each apartment offers spacious closets and private bathrooms. Living arrangements are attractive and inviting, well decorated and well equipped with both necessities and niceties.

Birchwood at Hillcrest is the Assisted Living part of our Hillcrest Neighborhood. Services include providing assistance with activities of daily living for residents. These services include such things as bathing, dressing, mobility, toileting, help with medication management, and personal grooming.

Prices for one bedroom and studio apartment homes in assisted living are based on size, number of occupants and the time that our trained staff will need to provide the services that the resident will need. There are no long term contracts or unexpected pricing hikes.

The Monthly fee includes all meals, personal laundry and housekeeping services, utilities*, cable TV, maintenance, transportation and 24 hour trained caregiving. Licensed Nurses are on staff and in the building every day.

Prospective Residents can expect to pay an application fee of $600, a partially refundable $1000 security deposit and a monthly fee with level of care for services provided. Please contact us for specifics because each prospective resident’s needs and the time allotted will be determined on an individual basis and will vary.

Individual studio and one-bedroom apartment homes with spacious closets and private bathrooms are the setting for Birchwood residents' homes. Each apartment home is furnished by the resident with their well-loved furniture and personal belongings, making each apartment their own comfortable and secure home.

Birchwood is directly adjacent to Aspen Pointe and residents can walk from one senior housing neighborhood to the other. Bozeman Deaconess Hospital departments and staff will provide services for assisted living and other residents such as physical therapy consults, blood draws, occupational therapy and other services. Also located in this neighborhood are a number of "Respite and Recovery" short-term apartment homes that provide special assistance to residents in Aspen Pointe and others who may need help for a short recovery. 'Respite and Recovery' apartment homes are fully furnished and assistance is provided by our trained staff on a 24-hour basis, as needed.

Birchwood is a member of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aged (AAHSA), the association for not-for-profit organizations serving the aged. Before you move in, plan on:

  • A medical screening to determine level of care (which determines cost); and
  • A Residence and Service Agreement detailing basic services, meals, personal assistance and care, optional services, excluded health-related services, terms of agreement and fees, transfers from facility, termination of agreement, and property rights and obligations.
