Hillcrest Senior Living Neighborhood, is owned and operated by not-for-profit Bozeman Deaconess Health Services and is a member of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA). Originally built in the 1960s, the entire community was completely rebuilt in 2001.
About Birchwood
In the 1960s, the hospital Board of Directors determined that a residential community for active seniors would be an important service to Bozeman. They built the original Hillcrest Senior Living community. Our history and reputation for providing service excellence in healthcare, facilities and operations speaks for itself. Many services at the hospital are shared with Hillcrest, providing a solid financial base and staffing resources that residents rely on. Proof of this is a number of second-generation residents who call our neighborhood home. Financial security, safety, peace of mind and a trusted reputation for the finest in senior living are the hallmark at Hillcrest.

- What is the minimum age to be a resident at Hillcrest?
- Active adults aged 62 and older are welcome.
- Is skilled nursing available at Hillcrest?
- We are an independent and assisted living community. If a resident requires skilled nursing we will assist with transfer to a higher level of care.
- What type of security is provided?
- Security is shared with Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. The entire community is built to the highest life safety codes to provide for each resident's safety.
- Are apartments furnished?
- Apartments are not furnished. Residents bring their own belongings and furniture.
- How much do the apartments cost?
- Cost of apartments is based on size and number of residents (one or two). We have over 12 floor plan options. Please contact us for further details.

Hillcrest has a proven track record of excellence. Every six months we survey our residents and families to track our success in providing quality services such as customer satisfaction, housekeeping service, maintenance service, promptness in requests for assistance and our culinary excellence. This is a sample of our most recent survey (Completed December 2011):
